Located in the heart of the Whiteaker District in Eugene Oregon, the hostel was built in 1930, upgraded in the mid-60's and newly remodeled in the spring of 2006. There are many great sights to see and things to do within the area and around the town. Within walking distance is the Willamette River which offers a biking and pedestrian path. You can also visit the Owens Rose Garden along the way. The Skinner's Butte Park has nice hiking and a great view of Eugene. Enjoy the arts and crafts at the Saturday Market, listen to live music, and try some tasty food from the various vendors. You can also check out the farmers market which offers locally grown produce and herbs. Every last Friday of the month, the Whiteaker neighborhood shows it's artistic side with the "Last Friday Art Walk". We participate with a variety of artists skilled in music, glass, painting, poetry, film-making and many others. There will be food, fun, and possibly some of the best locally brewed beer around from Ninkasi Brewery. Great day trips include a visit to Willamette Valley wineries, swimming and fishing in the McKenzie River and the sand dunes on the Oregon coast. Many different hiking trails with waterfalls, rivers, scenic lakes and hot springs.

The Hostel offers several dorm types:

  • Women's dorms with bath and balcony (3 or 4 beds)
  • Men's dorms with bath (2 and 5 beds)
  • Private rooms

Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, guest laundry, free local calls, high-speed wireless internet for your laptop, spacious living, dining, game room and outdoor patio and daily continental breakfast are included with stay.
